Rueby Wood, 15, has landed the role of Nate Foster in Disney's adaptation of the novel Better Nate Than Ever.

Co-starring with Aria Brooks, Joshua Bassett, and Lisa Kudrow, Wood plays a small town kid dreaming of making it big on Broadway, and was cast after a nationwide search. The actor, singer, and dancer starred as Charlie in the first national Broadway tour of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2018-2019), and appeared in community and regional theatre, playing Michael Banks in Mary Poppins on Syracuse Stage (2016-2017).
